Resets temperature and tint automatically on DNG files

Hello. I have a really annoying problem where Lightoom automatically resets the temperature and tint of an image after viewing another image.

For example: Go to a photo > Change temperature and tint > Move to another photo > Come back to the original photo. Looks fine. > Again, see another image > Now the temperature and tint are reset! Why????

Notes:

- This only happens on DNG RAW files, not JPEGs, nor CR2 files. I tried

- Only the temperature and tint are reset, any other settings remain as they are (Exposure, contrast, crop, effects, etc).

- The camera is a Ricoh GR3

- Lightroom CC latest version, Mac

- The files are stored on disk, not synced to cloud

I have attached a video that shows this problem on two images, but it happens on all RAW files.

Ok, I'm happy to report that I was NOT on the latest version, I updated, and now the issue is fixed!

With the instructions provided, I cannot replicate what you are seeing.

Random weirdness is sometimes an indication that your preference file is in need of reset.

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop, it can change your local storage location. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.

I performed the reset as instructed, the problem persists.

Did you get a chance to watch the second video I posted above? It shows the exact problem.

Btw, this is the version I'm using (latest, AFAICT)

Any recommendation for next steps?

I've done further testing, and I've narrowed down the problem to: this only happens when going from a JPEG file to a DNG file 🤯

First of all, I wanted to identify if this issue was specific to my Ricoh camera or other DNG files as well. So I downloaded Canon, Leica, and DJI files, all DNG. The answer is "yes", it happens to all of them.

But in the process, I realized that this only happens if you also have a jpeg file in that folder, and go from a JPEG to a RAW file. I know, weird. Basically you can switch between any of these DNG files, and everything is fine. When you click on the JPEG, the next DNG you select will have its temperature and tint reset.

It doesn't even have to be in the edit mode, this happens in Info as well.

- All the files here are DNG files from different cameras, except the last one which is a JPEG. See how selecting it resets the temperature of the next selected file.

- All the DNG files have their temperature set to minimum.

- In the beginning, I switched between all the DNG files to see that nothing happens.

- Then I switch to JPEG and reset the temperature for each file one-by-one, just by selecting it
