P: Quick Actions missing on iPad

Community Beginner ,
Jun 23, 2025 Jun 23, 2025

Hey. I see and use Quick Actions on my Android but do not see it in LR on my iPad Pro. I gather it is not available yet.

Does anyone have any inside gos as to when that could happen. It's make or break for me.

Thanks

Andy

Adobe doesn't normally give timelines for feature development but I believe they are also available on Lightroom Web, if you log in via a browser on the iPad. That may work.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. It's weird that they haven't released Quick Actions on the iPad yet, being that it's basically the same app/UI as the iPhone. I can't imagine it's that involved.

Yes. Bizarre that I can do it on an Android phone but not on my editing
ipad pro.
Hopefully soon. Hopefully someone can also enlighten us.

Hi, I've just forked out for an iPad Pro to help me with my photo editing, and had previously been using my iPhone. I've been unable to find the magic wand looking tool that can detect scene and facial features etc. I'm assuming this just hasn't been added as I'm logged in properly to my premium account.

Is this a feature that is likely to be added? I'm pretty disappointed to have invested in a high spec iPad specifically for editing, just to find out one of the most useful features is missing and locked behind iPhone/desktop. Kinda defeats the point of me upgrading. I thought the iPad version would be a pro tool.

Adobe are trash - many threads on this (including one I created asking the same question) and the replies from Adobe are their usual BS spin which doesn't commit to anything. The LR app for iPad has been neglected for so long, it's laughable to see all these valuable features being included on iPhone/android apps, yet the iPad app is continuously overlooked...

I just want the iPad app to be the exact same as the mobile app.  It's missing an editing icon. The part where you can edit their skin and smooth their skin. Or edit their clothes. Just their clothes. It's in the mobile, but not the iPad. It changes how I edit photos. And now I have to go back and forth. The "retouch" option is missing. 😭

Agree. A lot of editors use an ipad pro - or want to- because of the
quality of photos the os etc but this situation is hopeless

Hi @tia_tnt! Thank you for reaching out! The "Retouch" tool isn't in the bottom bar like on the phone. Instead, look for a band-aid icon in the vertical toolbar on the right side of the screen on your ipad. This Healing tool contains all the retouching functions you're looking for, including spot removal, cloning, and skin smoothing.

Hope this helps!

Cheers!

Noel,

The person commenting obviously is referring to Quick Actions - they clearly and specifically mention clothes (which is a quick action feature) and having to switch between iPhone and iPad just to use some functionality - let's not pretend we don't know what they are talking about. Quick Actions are very obviously absent on the iPad (as is a whole bunch of stuff) and it's just not good enough....

Funny how these mods don't reply to other comments that specifically mention the lack of Quick Actions on the iPad app.
