Delete photo shortcut isn't working (and usability issues)

I have a DSLR and shoot wildlife with it, especially birds. I take many, many photos and then discard most of them when I get back into Lightroom. The delete function in Lightroom is absolutely awful.

The delete photo keyboard shortcut on Windows 10 is the pits. First of all, Alt+Backscape is difficult to press with one hand, while clicking on images with the other hand. Maybe that's the intent, but there is a confirmation dialog, anyway. Imagine doing this dozens of times consecutively. Try it, Adobe.

Even when I do press it, there's a bug. The Ligthroom window loses focus and the confirmation dialog doesn't appear unless I Alt-Tab to another application and then back to Ligthroom.  That's a lot of fun.

Using the mouse is not easier because it requires right-clicking on the photo to choose Delete.

And on iOS, the delete option is completely buried in the Organize submenu. It's difficult to find in the first place and non-intuitive. Why can't I drag the photo sideways to delete it, like almost every other app?

There's no reason to make deletion as hard as learning calculus, because the images are now retained for 60 days, anyway. Is anyone tackling usability during the software design process?

This sort of workflow is not really enabled in Lightroom Cloudy. If you shoot 100's of images and do quick image culling, Lightroom Classic is a 1000 times better option. I would not use Cloudy for this type of workflow. Cloudy is not really meant for people that shoot large volumes.

Hi Krakatos-

Please note that this is a user moderated forum and although there are, at times, Adobe employees monitoring, you'll find that the people here are users looking to help each other.

One thing that may or may not be an option is to perform a quick review prior to importing and not import all the images, which won't fully address your issue, but perhaps it might help.
