How do you use .cube files in Lightroom?

Hi,

I use Paul Leeming's LUTs for my GH5 video footage in Premiere, and also for video stills in Photoshop. This is easy to do, but it seems Lightroom does not allow me to import .cube files. I'm guessing I have to change this to another file format. Unfortunately the only recent thread I can find on this subject is on Reddit, and the page won't load.

All I've managed to do so far is Export/Color Lookup Tables... in Photoshop, which creates four file types. None of these open in LR under Presets/Import Presets.

I know this can't be difficult, so what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

You can't use these kind of files in Lightroom directly. What you can do is create a new profile in Camera Raw (can't do that in Lightroom) and use the .cube file in that profile. Then Lightroom can use that profile. See How to Make Custom Camera Raw Profiles for Lightroom & Photoshop

Johan shows how to use cube files on raw images but you cannot apply such LUTs to video footage in Lightroom. You need premiere for that.
