P: Generated images violate user guidelines

Bunny.png

So as you can see, it's a PG-13 relatively inoffensive image of a woman in a bunny outfit. The top worked fine, and I was able to complete the top ear, which is cool. When I tried to extend the bottom with generative fill, though, I got this warning. They're just a pair of legs wearing stockings, and I wanted to extend it.

It feels like a false flag - though I could be wrong? I find myself thinking it would do the same for women in swimsuits.

Figured I'd share here.

Dear Community,

On November 7th, 2023, the Firefly for Photoshop service was updated and improved for this issue. You should encounter fewer guideline errors when working on or near skin-tone areas that do not violate the community guidelines.

While the improvement is a big step in the right direction, we are continuing to explore new ways to minimize false-positives. Please continue to give us feedback on this new forum thread and also report false violation errors in the application.
Thank you

ChatGPT sucks at making prompts  Also its only tried up to 2021. MJ has changed so much since them.

But licensing other AI technologies isn't in Adobe's long-term plan with regard to FireFly. They want to use their own database of Adobe Stock images to generate outcomes, thereby being able to pay contributors whenever parts of their images are used to create other images. At least that's my understand from what I've read from other sources.  How they can ever manage to make this work is well beyond my comprehension, but that is apparently the plan. I don't THINK that will apply to Generative Fill in Photoshop, but once it is out of beta, Adobe will start charging people to use Adobe FireFly, probably through the purchase of credits, which Adobe says will be extremely generous in terms of what they charge for those credits.

Yep, especially if people are involved. Text to image AI is evolving
quickly but Adobe has a long way to go to catch up with MJ and others.

Daniellei,

Re:But licensing other AI technologies isn't in Adobe's long-term plan with regard to FireFly. They want to use their own database of Adobe Stock images to generate outcomes...

Gaining technology fast is often about knowing your limits and acquiring technology, often through acquisitions, licencing, etc. I worked for a software company who acquired another company for $3 billion for their technology. Then we got acquired by a bigger company for our combined technology. Training on only Adobe stock would differentiate Adobe from MD. But using the best technology is a no brainer. Mary Barra just said GM will save $4oo million by using Tesla's charging technology, as will Ford.

The problem here is that no one seems to have the technology to gen fil small areas that is fully intergrated with a larger picture.

Interesting theory, but in the past it has created thumbs or hands or what-have-you and done a beautiful job with it. Not every fill is a home run, but it does a great job for me when it works.

Here's an example for me.

Sarah27914909k9u3_0-1686420151525.png

I want it to generate the bottom half of this picture. Note I am not putting in ANY textual prompt at all, so there is no possibility that a bad keyword triggered the behavior. Yeah the girl here is cute, but there's nothing sexual happening. There must be a boundless number of G-PG-13 bottom halves that could have been returned.

THIS! If you (adobe) won't render an image on your cloud for whatever reason, let us render it ourselves on our own hardware.

Eh. Complaining to Adobe is our God-given right, even if it's a beta. I think you just have to keep it polite and respectful, and if you do that, then any feedback, positive or negative, is beneficial for Adobe and the community.

Subject: Photoshop programmers tell us the parameters of your prompts. We need a prompt parameter that we can add that we state, "NO OFFENSIVE FILL." Simple solution to this problem.

PS community: You are here because you are cutting edge. You will become the most sophisticated AI graphics specialists. This is a fact.

If you want to get up to date on how prompts can and should work watch this video.

IMHO, This whole concept of "small gen fill within a larger image" can work, but only with excellent prompts and nowhere yet do I see prompt training for PS gen fil. Again if you are into AI, please look at this video. It shows you where we will end up. Been out a month and has 8500 thumbs up.

This video will bring you update about what could be with PS prompt creation. (This video does not use PS software, but is how it can be done.)

Small GEN fill with an a larger image already works great. It's giving me fantastic results, when it works right. When it doesn't work right, it seems to be about thinking that the content is inappropriate, and that sometimes is just wrong.

Sarah, Great to hear you are having success! Show us an example, please. Does not have to be the entire picture just enough to see what you have accomplished. I have gotten some very strange gen fills. Nothing usable yet. Been working on this everyday.

PS gen fill has become my hobby. 🙂

Gen fill - removing part of distorted swan head reflection violates user guidelines. And then it would not allow me to use Remove Tool...

I extended the lower portion of the image (the reflection) using gen fill and it did ok but distorted the swan's head - then I made a selection to remove the distorted portion with gen fill and gave me the violates user guidelines. Tried the Remove Tool but it did not allow me.

essich copy 3.jpgI took this pic using the iphone 14 pro max on raw setting last month. It's a country road high above Inverness Scotland. I added a highland cow, added a robin, pheasant, a blackbird, a buzzard overhead and a flock of geese. Excellent results this time

Another image I took4 years ago ( can't even remember the phone I had then ) This is the beach at the picturesque town of Rosemarkie 14 miles N of Inverness. There were several people on the right hand side of the beach near the water, and a couple of caravans on the left side. All removed perfectly.

Thanks! Graham. I see my problem. I expect too much. These are images that PS can take from stock and place them in a picture. I have also seen the puffin and desert fox examples, but the actual artwork was pain.

I imagined that fill gen could draw custom fills. Like if you told gen fill to fill in the bush below the cow with five plants with yellow and pink blooms.

Quess the solution to get exactly what I want is to have an image generator produce an image on a blank page, using detailed prompts, refine it and place it where I want it.

A completely different pic using the extend frame generation AND I changed the background from a hotel room in Glasgow to a tropical beach, I also changed our clothes, and gave my wife a new hair colour & style.  The phone which I had several years ago was a motorola G8 power
