P: Photoshop Beta 26.8 Crashes on Startup

Photoshop Beta version 26.8 fails to launch on my system and crashes immediately during startup. Reverting to version 26.6 resolves the issue — no crash occurs.

The issue appears related to memory access and ntdll.dll heap corruption. This did not occur in previous beta versions.

• OS: Windows  11

• RAM: 64 GB

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor, 3593 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060

• Photoshop Beta version: 26.8.0

• Previous working version: 26.6.0

• Exception Code: 0xc0000374 (heap corruption)

• Faulting Module: ntdll.dll

• Fault Offset: 0x000000000011e0e5

• Related error in logs:

  Request:

  Please investigate possible regression in memory/system hardware access in 26.8 (possibly related to LibXPUInfo), and advise if a patch or fix is planned.

I just uninstalled the Beta version, restarted the computer, re-installed Photoshop Beta and now works.
