P: Photoshop Beta Generative Fill produces different colors at the edges of the selection.

When trying to add additional areas to the edges of an image using Generative Fill, it creates mismatched colors at the junction of the new and existing parts. It deviates slightly from the original areas, resulting in a grid-like pattern in those areas where new parts were created using the Generative Fill option, even if I fill them with 1024x1024 pixel sections.

I have already uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but the issue persists. I am using an iMac Pro running Ventura 13.3.1 system.

@Kenneth303399867rim  if you hold the Shift key and start Ps beta, disabling any third party plugins, do you see the same issue?  If you use regular color images and expand or use GenFill, do you see the same issues with blending?

Let's make sure there is no issue with the GPU.  You should only use the more powerful GPU and it appears you have two, so check out this page and make sure that is not the issue:

I am also experiencing this issue with the colors not matching.  Im on beta 25.0.0. This only happens using gen fill. If I try to extend the background with content aware it does it correctly just without the AI features of course.

Is there away to install the previous beta as v25 sucks?

Not only does Generative expand return results that are a lighter tone and not easily corrected, but so does cloning and selective generation. I've resorted back to copying parts from other photos rather than use generative fill.

Luminar Neo is coming out with generative fill. I hope it works better.

Desde ontem 17/08, após a última atualização (Versão 25.0.0), estou tendo problemas com aberrações cromáticas (tonalidades no ciano) nas imagens geradas pela ferramenta Generative Fill. As novas imagens geradas ficam evidentes na foto, contornos duros, mesmo com a difusão em um valor elevado. Algumas só são percerpitíveis após o envio em alguma rede social.

When working, zoomed in, on a detail of a larger image, the image file becomes corrupted and is not visible until I zoom back out. The error takes the form of large rectangular blocks where the image has been altered by color or density (like a curves change). The error corrupts the file data and is not just a draw screen error. The only solution is to not save the file and lose all the work. If the file is overwritten during a save, then the file is permanently damaged.

I reached out to an Adobe employee who had answered a similar question previously. He suggested I share the problem to the larger Adobe community. In my attempts to corrupt the problem, I've rebooted Photoshop and the computer. The Adobe employee also had me verify that my GPU is within Adobe specs and he had me deactivate the native canvas.

I've been working with Photoshop CC (v 24.5.0) and my files range in size from 2-4 GB on average. The images are for a museum exhibition and for publication in a catalogue. I'm in a bit of a time crunch to deliver the images for the publication. My work around is to constantly zoom out as I work and save frequently. However this slows down my work flow as the saving is slow at this file size and when I do generate an error I have to stop and redo my work.

I'm using a Mac Pro (late 2013), aka the trashcan, running MacOS Monterey v 12.6.6 with 64 GB of RAM. The Graphics card is an AMD FirePro D700 6 GB.

Below is an example of what the problem looks like on the image I'm currently editing. This happened when the monitor went to sleep while saving. All the work was lost and I had start from the last version of the file. Please note that I work by putting 4x5 negatives (that I've scanned) together. So the evenly spaced vertical black bars are part of the image; they represent the clear portion of the negative around the image. [specs: file size 3.33 GB; 48 bit color depth; pixel dimension 31235 x 8122; file format .psb]

Most recently I had a new version of the problem. In this iteration, the error is a draw screen error and appears related to zooming in and out. At 16.7% magnification the image color balance skewed red (way wacky red), but at 12.5% magnification the colors reverted back to the original state.

Needless to say, I just saved my work at that point and stopped working all together. I was too afraid of corrupting the file itself.

I did uninstall and reinstall v25 Beta and the Expand now has the right color tone as the picture, but the Brush, Color Replacement Tool still doesn't match the color of the swatch, it's much lighter. I can get darker using Luminosity, but that is a solid color so when painting hands it doesn't look natural. To be fare I am having the same problem with the non beta v24.7 which is a recent update.

Same problem here with new beta 25.0. Generated content is fine, but the blending is off. At the same time, the "remove tool (J)" has no issue, content generated correctly, perfect blending. This was not a problem in the previous version (I also thing 25.0, not sure with the exact version, but it was working fine during the time the LrC -> PS was broken)

Same problem here, but it doesn't occurs when I check « Convert document's colors to the working space ». It seems that part of the image sent to the cloud for IA treatment doesn't take care of color profile.

Il m'affiche une zone rose en plus du remplissage generatif sur mon image. Horrible !!

Hello, 

Since yesterday's update, I have an issue with the colors when using generative fill. 

The generated content has a reddish / magenta tint that doesn't fit with the content. 
See screenshot bellow (trying to remove the collar of the dog with generative fill)

When I add a mask with generative fill, the color of the mask is different from the color of the background. It shows the lasso tool selection brighter . (Picture 1) There was not this kind of issue in latest version. (picture 2) . ANyone experience that? thks.

Uninstall and reinstalled fixed it for me. It seems like maybe the update process is screwed up. I didn't have to use Creative Cleaner to fix this. I have run that and removed every piece of Adobe I had and it didn't solve that problem, but that is a solution when things don't work out. There are also the ability to reset individual tools or all of them if say a product you set trashed them.

Nice to know that option exists to bypass plugins, but I tried it and it didn't help. I uninstalled and reinstalled v25 and that fixed it. Must be an update problem. Happened on my desktop and laptop and resinstalling fixed both.

oui Idem également je ne comprends pas ce bug, j'ai essayé de repasser sur l'ancienne version 14.7 mais elle ne fonctionne plus Photoshop m'oblige à utiliser la nouvelle version avec le bug en 15.0...J'ai updaté mon Mac en Ventura 13.5.1 mais ca ne change rien.
