Alas, today's (May 8, 2024) PS Beta update still won't launch. I don't even get to the splash screen. Once again, I have DxO's Nik collection installed.

Something curious also happens after I update the Beta version. When I go to the released version of Bridge and try to open an image into the released version of Photoshop, I get the Error (Oxc0000142). It's happened several times. The only remedy I've found is to uninstall both Bridge and Photoshop, power down my computer and then restart and download both Bridge and Photoshop. Somehow the Beta version of PS affects the released version of Photoshop 25.7

Please post your current Ps beta version that is giving you this error. The team is trying to see if it is one specific one or all in 25.9.

Simple post the FIRST line in your sysinfo: Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.9.0 20240506.m.2611 c1372bf arm64 (for example)

today I tried to (again) download n. 25.9 and oh! miraculously it finally worked...

I can only copy the version information from the properties of the EXE file: 25.9.0.2611.
@geo kaz  I'll try to do what you did. I tried it a few days ago and it didn't help. Maybe today it will work 🙂

Just downloaded 25.9 again, and still the (0xc0000142) error at startup. Not even the spash screen pops up. So, I can't give the version number of the version that gives the problem.

My Laptop works with Intel i7 8550U and the Beta Version 25.09 runs perfect.

On my second PC also with i5 Gen 7 new Beta also works perfect, so I think there is no dependence on the processor generation. Maybe some other issue, but maybe I am wrong.
