P: PS Beta 25.4: Pen tool: Option/Alt shortcut key

I have encountered some difficulties with the pen tool in Photoshop 25.4. Since the latest update, the pen tool does not work as it should. For instance, when I try to remove an anchor point, the convert point tool does not switch on automatically. Also, the eyedropper tool appear when i press ALT button. These problems are affecting my workflow and productivity. I would appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to resolve this error. Thank you for your time and attention.

Ferramenta caneta está com problemas, todas as vezes que que clico alt, está aparecendo o conta gotas e não consigo finalizar o processo, já redenifi a ferramenta e ainda continua da mesma forma.

A quick update if helps anyone. The corner point tool is available when you're adding a point with the pen tool and use the option key (Mac) in that same instance when dragging the point. It just isn't available afterwards.

Strange. It works on my 25.3.1 version on a Macbook Pro.

No photoshop 2024 versão beta 25.4 quando eu estou usando a ferramenta caneta e apertar alt devia aparecer a ferramenta converter pontos, mas aparece a opção conta gotas. Já no photoshop 2024 não beta está normal.. Já coloquei no modo padrão do photoshop beta 25.4, mas continua aparecendo o conta gotas em vez da ferramenta converter pontos. Mas se eu utilizar o photoshop 2024 versão beta 25.3 o problema não aparece, ou seja, seja funciona normalmente!

yes this sux, theres no way you can get rid of eyedropper issue on alt press. hope the devs bring back the VERY useful tool combo in pen tool

Are you absolutely sure of that?  Can you double check to make sure you are using 25.3.1  only AFAWK it's only the beta version that has the problem.  I am using 25.3.1 (the beta version is unusable with the Pen tool problem) and it is working fine.

@Mikael27829339vp5k Check this - Go to Settings/Tools and make sure Spring Loaded Tool Shortcut is disabled. Any difference?

If not, it might need a full Photoshop preference reset - go to Settings/General and click the reset preferences button then relaunch Photoshop.

When using the pen tool you can no longer press "Alt" to break the curve, instead "Alt" now brings up the eye dropper tool on Windows. There is no clear way to change this back or even break the curve in another way.

I thought this bug might be solved with today's update.
Of all the tools, I use the pen tool most frequently, and this function, in particular, is essential.
It is incomprehensible why something that has been perfect forever should be updated in a way that makes it dysfunctional.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Thanks for encouraging a double-check.
Turns out the old-school PS 2024 is all good.
So we've gotten back together and are gettin' along just fine.
Beta can wait until it gets better.

After the recent update when I hold the Alt key on Win it triggers the eyedropper tool instead of Converting Anchor Point. And it's so annoying when I'm using pen tool. Restarted several time, please guide for the same.

I can also confirm that the alt key while in pen tool works on the latest standard PS. The trouble is with the Beta version

I had the same issue, meanwhile, I uninstalled Photoshop and installed an older version. Please fix it soon, it's an important function for those who work with the Pen Tool
