P: PS Beta 25.4: Pen tool: Option/Alt shortcut key

I have encountered some difficulties with the pen tool in Photoshop 25.4. Since the latest update, the pen tool does not work as it should. For instance, when I try to remove an anchor point, the convert point tool does not switch on automatically. Also, the eyedropper tool appear when i press ALT button. These problems are affecting my workflow and productivity. I would appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to resolve this error. Thank you for your time and attention.

After pressing Alt Tool is not converting on Convert point tool, its converting like eyedroper tool.

PS Beta 25.5.0 press COMMAND Then click on handle and press ALT. now yo can separate handels

I cannot reproduce the issue on Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.5.0 20240129.m.2484 on Mac OS 14.2.1

Maybe it’s platform-specific now.

Just an addition, I have another Mac running the latest version of Sonama and the same beta Photoshop version and this problem doesn't occur. This must be a problem with the beta under earlier versions of the OS.

Yes, same bug again…!!! I have updated to Photoshop (Beta) 25.5 m.2489 just now and the option key doesn't work again.

Is it really so difficult to remove this bug permanently!!??? I'm angry!

@Wolfgang K. , if you cannot tolerate the nature of a Beta application you might be better off sticking with the released version.

Hi, when I'm adding a clipping path in Photoshop on a Mac, I used to be able to press the option key after doing a curved path to then add the next joint of the clipping path, now when I press option, my curser changes to the Colour Dropper and the path is disjointed. Have Adobe swapped this so I should be pressing a different key on the keyboard? Thanks

Y'all fixed this, which was much appreciated.
But then, with the following update, it was back to this frustrating loss of function.
Is there an intention behind this?
Why do users need the eyedropper tool whilst using the pen tool more than the convert anchor point tool?
It's incomprehensible to me because I constantly use the convert anchor point tool when using the pen tool.
I'd be interested to know what that reason is because quite a few people must need this bizarre function to disable the use of PS Beta for me and everyone else who uses the convert anchor point tool. Now, I'm off to scour the community for more threads about this matter.

With Photoshop 25.5.0 20240203.m.2489 on Mac OS 14.2.1 I can reproduce the issue again, too. 

@Grandschemin, I suspect that Adobe employees might not be at liberty to explain the reason for such issues here. 

Besides that I suspect that there might be no »intention« here but that this might be an essentially »random« thing. 

Beta means Beta.
