As added info, I've had the problem with PS for years through various servers and all manner of settings with memory at the correct allocation as you mentioned. I've messed with various history states, etc. Nothing has affeced the problem for me. There are other "gigapixel" level bugs in PS, but I've not brought them up due to GPs not being a thing these days. But, this scratch disk issue is something that breaks my work, breaks my patience, and has for years now. Here's my system info. Thanks again for any help!
