I am not able to select anything but "Create Frame Animation" in the Timeline. I am trying to create a Video Timeline, but not using Frame animation. This option isn't in the bottom left or top right of the Timeline menu.

I have tried resetting my preferences, uninstalling and re-installing, creating a new document, and converting all layers to smart objects, and none of those have worked. I have a macbook pro with macOS Big Sur version 11.2.3 with an Apple M1 chip.

Thank you for the help!

You'll need to run in Rosetta for now. Native support is coming in a future release.

If you're on a new Apple M1 processor machine, video isn't current supported. It's coming in the future. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-for-apple-silicon.html Run in Rosetta until native support is available for video.

Was having an issue trying to export a GIF file from Photoshop (22.5.0) to an mp4 on my Mac Mini (M1) running the latest MacOS Big Sur. The 'Adobe Media Encoder' option was greyed out.

Found that by relaunching Photoshop to run is Rosetta solved the problem and I can now export my frame PSD files to mp4 once again.

Please make this function work natively on an M1 Mac please Adobe, cheers.

Hi, could you clarify in regards of what you do mean with AE?

I think you might also have to run it in Rosetta 2. Native support will first appear in a beta version. See also : https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/apple-silicon-m1-chip.html

The M1 processor is a new architechture to support, it takes time to flawlessy port programs that are millions of codelines to a new codebase.

En mi version de Photoshop 22.5.0 instalado en mi MacBook Pro M1 en la Línea de Tiempo no tiene la opción video. Solo pudo hacer cuadro a cuadro.

Alguna solución posible?

Otra vez desaparecio la opcion de video de la linea de tiempo.

Lo pude usar una sola vez.

Desinstale PS y lo instale desde el link que me indicaste y volví al mismo problema.

Verdaderamente una lastima.

Try updating Photoshop if you haven't already. Another update only just came out. Hope the solution is that easy.

Switched to Blender for video editing. Turned out it's even cooler! 😃

And with Photopea [ website link removed ] I'm considering to close my Photoshop subscription. Adobe is very unresponsive.

I've given up and ordered a new imac 27 inch which still has an IBM chip, my new (in April) macbook hasn't been used as I had to move back to my old 2015 Imac. Adobe should have made much more clear that Photoshop was not working fully on the new chip, people make important financial decisions based on software compatibility. Six months later it's still not made clear which important modules are missing.

Can I ask how you figured this out? I'm having the same issue and can't seem to figure out how to see 'run in Rosetta'...
