P: Docking icons for extension panels, plugins, and the Adobe Plugins panel missing on Windows 10

The title pretty much says it all.  Installed 22.4 on Windows 10 today, and all the docking icons for third-party extension panels, plugins, and even Adobe's own Plugins panel are missing.  Totally blank.  The plugins listed inside the Adobe's plugins panel have their corresponding icons, but the docking icons for when these items are in a panel dock are gone.  The docking icon for the Adobe Color Theme's panel is also missing.  There may be others.  I've not checked every Adobe panel.  An icon-less panel dock is not very useful.

I've just updated Photoshop to v 22.4 and my extension icons have places but no image.

I've restarted my PC and Photoshop, removed extensions from the panel, re-added them and no luck. All the extensions still work as normal from the panel, just no image on the extension icon itself. One of these is the Libraries panel.

I was using Photoshop right before the update and it wasn't like this.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is it another bug?

I have Windows 10 Home Version 20H2

After installing the update to PhotoShop 22.4 I've the same problem. I've been using amoung others the RayaPro 5.0 - plugin. The screenshot shows the "Dodge and Burn" module.

IconPlugins22.4-7057a284-2502-4f23-8357-8e029658e918-1655628280.png

But it's the same for the modules of RayaPro and the other installed plugins.

After I go back to version 22.3.1 the icons were shown again.

It seems that there's a new bug in 22.4.

Same for me on Windows 10. I've just downgraded again to the previous version.

The same bug has occurred two or three versions ago.

@axel_matthies when you rolled back to the previous version did you have to re-install any plugins?

No. I've deinstalled the 22.4 version via the CC desktop client with keeping preferences, plugins and so on. After installing the version 22.3.1 all plugins were available.

Adobe's own Adobe Color Themes and Plugins panels are also missing their docking icons.

Yes, I've noticed this with the docking icons for Libraries Panel and Adobe Color Themes at least 🙁... they appear just as gray blocks since I updated to 22.4.0. I'm using Windows 10.

Hello!
I have the same problem. Plugins icons are blank after updating photoshop to version 22.4.

If I resize the bar, I find the label with the name of the plugin but there is no icon for it. However if I click on their button, the plugins open and work correctly. Windows 10 20H2 x64

Sorry for my bad English.

Hello,

I think this is a Windows problem.  I'm using an iMac using Catalina 10.15.7 and my panels are working same as 22.3.

@Dennis Zito I think you're right. I'm on windows 10. I've just rolled back to the previous version and everything is back as it should be. Guess I won't be updating again for a while.

This problem is not a "windows 10" problem. It's a Adobe problem and should be reported to support team.

Yep, this is happening to me on Windows 10 as well. I thought I was having some kind of weird screen resolution bug, since I usually work with my Surface Pro hooked up to a monitor, and today I was working directly on the Surface. I tried restarting Photoshop as well as connecting to the monitor and restarting the computer, but no luck. That ultimately led me here, so I'm at least glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this.

PlugIn Icons not visible anymore since the bugfix release v22.4.

After an update from v22.3.1 to the latest v22.4 all the PlugIn icons disappeared in the panel bar. The PlugIn panels are still available but without any icon.

When rolling back to revision v22.31 the icons becomes visible again.

Environment: Windows 10 Pro, 20H2, build 19042.985

Did someone else issued this problem? What about Mac OS, is there the same issue?

EDIT:

Just realized that there is already a related topic available -> Docking icons for extension panels, plugins, and the Adobe Plugins panel missing in 22.4 on Windows ...

Hi BlueDrakoPT,

Yes you're right!  It is an Adobe Issue.  So, have you reported to the bug to the support team?  My iMac is  working so I don't need to report it!

Dennis, this is where we are supposed to report the bug isn't it? Or is there another way to report bugs to the support team?
