P: Mixer Brush Not Working Corrrectly?

Hello,

When I try to paint with a clean brush instead of picking up the colour from the base layer, it's selecting the foreground colour even though I've deselected it.

Below you can see:

Image 1) I've a base layer.  An empty layer to paint on.  "Load Solid Colours Only" deselected.

Image 2) It should sample from the base layer and allow me to paint with only those colours, but instead it's automatically using the foreground colour.

Anyone else experiencing this bug and found how to fix it?

Please fix this quickly. The mixer brush cannot be used properly. My photoshop is 23.4.2.

Little video made to show the issue.
1- X key x2
2- Resize Mixer Brush size
3- Paint : Issue : painting with Foreground Color

So basically, when these steps are done : "changing Foreground Color" + "Resizing Shape of the Mixer Brush", the Mixer Brush Tool is not working properly.

the problem has not been solved at all and is causing serious difficulties for those who use frequency separation techniques. Get a move on and fix it!

This issue was discussed extensively in another report, with examples, in March. We are in July and version 23.4.1 HAS NOT SOLVED THE PROBLEM.

Here an explanation video.  https://youtu.be/rxeY2iTa02o

A whole community of retouchers using Frequency Separation is frustrated and angry.
When do you solve this problem?
let's hurry.

You don't need all these steps to show this issue :

Just select the "Mixer Brush Tool", then hit twice the "X" keyboard button (inverting Background/Foreground twice), and before painting, resize the "Mixer Brush Tool" size, and now, when you paint, it's using the Foreground color.

In version 23.4.1 there is a bug (in 23.2.1 it's ok) in the operation of the mixer brush tool.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Set up the mixer brush tool like this:

2. Select the normal brush tool, change its color to any color you like, and paint anything with it.
3. Switch to the mixer brush tool and try painting with it. The first stroke is with the previously selected color even though the mixer brush should be clean
4. Alternatively to step 3: Switch to the mixer brush tool and increase or decrease its size - its color is suddenly set to the color of the previous brush.
