P: PS 2025 Could Not Complete Request because LoadDeepFontCache in GetDeepFontCache Failed

Hola! tengo el mismo problema, borrando las carpetas FontFeatureCache y CT Font Cache el problema parece solucionarse. Pero una vez que se vuelve a abrir el problema regresa. Alguien ha podido solucionarlo definitivamente?

I got the same error repeatedly, and could not fix it. I tried deleting the cache folders as suggested in the forums. (Failed) I tried uninstalling all Adobe products and reinstalling then. (Failed). I tried restarting Windows and keeping apps. (Failed).

Only two solutions helped:

1. Revert to old versions of Photoshop. I had to go back 6 or 7 versions to 2022 or 23.

Or

2. I backed up all my fonts, then downloaded new windows installation files and reinstalled the OS. Then I installed the latest version of Photoshop, then reinstalled the fonts 100 at a time, testing several in PS each batch. They all installed and the error has not come back for 2 weeks.

Same here,tried everything mentioned on this thread, only a clean install of Windows (and upgrade to 11) seems to have fixed it for me........so far..

Not getting too excited though, will wait until the next photoshop update, see if that breaks it again.

The bug must be in one of the late updates 25.????

I uninstalled the latest update version and reinstalled Photoshop 2024. Deep Font get isa working.

Delete the CT Font Cache and FontFeatureCache folder and empty the Recycle Bin

Using Windows 10 Pro, 22H2 build 19045.5371.

I've done all of the suggest items i found over the last month - new preferences, delete the cache, etc. Plus some I thought about on my own.

I finally got an old version of Photoshop working (Photoshop 2023 24.7.5) every other version up I have installed/uninstalled/reinstalled, up to and including 2025 26.3 gives the same error. I do have 26.3 beta installed and it works but I am afrain to try the 26.4 beta.

I've been struggling with this since the begginning of January. Please help. What I can I send you that can help you help me?

Hi. I just logged out of Creative Cloud and logged back in. Everything was fine after that. All my fonts back to normal and no more CT Font or FontFeature issues.

Is there any progress on this? I am stcuk using Photoshop 2023 24.7.5 and beta 26.3 (I'm afraid to try beta 26.4 as I'll lose way too much generative fill work). Every otherversion of Photoshop other than the one I listed gives me this error! Please help.

The described method works but the issue immediately reappears after restoring my old settings.

It could hardly be called a fix. Sure, purge your entire settings, settings which most users have probably accumulated over years and finetuned to their liking and needs, just to be able to use fonts again, a basic feature that has been part of Photoshop since the beginning.

I honestly don't understand how the most basic things that have been working for years and years and are the bedrock of your software keep breaking time and time again ever sine you pushed everything into the cloud, it is ridiculous to be quite frank.

Sorry for my general tone of frustration but it is an absolute nightmare having to deal with these silly issues each and every time a new update or patch drops … please get this fixed ASAP without telling your customers to just delete their entire catalogue of settings. Thanks and best regards.

Hi,

I'm having this issue, even after following Sameer's advice, when trying to edit text that forms part of a smart object.

Here is how you can recreate this (assuming out-of-the-box Photoshop setup and no customised workspace arrangements etc.)

1. Create a new document. Select the Type tool and write some text. Convert that text layer to a smart object (right click on the layer in the 'Layers' pannel on the bottom right of the screen)>convert to smart object)

2. Double click on the smart object thumbnail in the Layers pannel.

3. Select the text and click on the Font dropdown in the tool bar (at the top of the screen). Note that selecting 'font size' and 'style' dropdowns do not re-create this error pop-up.

Update to the above: any selection of fonts with the type tool resulted in an error after Sameer's fix. The icons in the left hand panel also disappeared intermittently.

Tried all the usual fixes of clearing font caches, preferences etc, hiding font previews, to no avail.

However, reverting to either 25.0 or 25.12.1 fixed the issue completely.

26.3 still had the problem.

I have the same problem and this for months. Actually I have not my standard-fonts - only symbol-font. I use the cloud and so my version is 26.5.0. Can you help me? I work with adobe daily and I need the fonts. In Design is perfect with fonts. Where is the problem? I pay for it monthly.

None of these fixes work for me. It's not gotten to the point where I can ONLY use Myriad Pro because it defaults to it every time. No issue with my other adobe programs. I'm currently on shift and CAN'T do my job due to this error. The only workaround I've found at this point is copying text from a Illustrator file and paste it into a font layer in photoshop. This is nuts to be paying full price for a program that is now hindering me from doing my job. Of course it's the industry standard too so there's quite literally no other pogram I can go to. So you're just holding us all hostage at this point. This issue needs a fix IMMIDIATELY.

Same issue, been a few weeks now. Ridiculous that the suggestion is to wipe all Photoshop settings and start from scratch. Fonts are so basic and so crucial, yet the support and communication is not happening. Joke
