Font Filtering Isn't Working

When I try to filter fonts, it says "No matches found." no matter what font class I choose. I tried deleting the CT Font Cache and Font Feature Cache folders and it didn't help. My Photoshop version is 24.1.0

@Muhammed5E44, thanks for answering my last questions. I can't think of anything else that may be causing font filtering to stop working for you. If it's a tool you need immediately, try rolling back a version if it was working before you updated to 24.1. Otherwise, Adobe support would likely tell you to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop or use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool as processes of elimination. I alerted an Adobe employee earlier in this thread with links to similar reports, so hopefully there will be more suggestions for you this coming week after the holiday break. Sorry I could be more helpful!

I'm so glad to hear that it's working for you again. Thanks for coming back to let us know.

@Kevin Stohlmeyer  I just tried both. Didn't work.

@J E L  I don't have any other Adobe app. I have 141 fonts active, from 44 families. I deactivated all Adobe fonts but it didn't work

The Windows font count doesn't include Adobe Creative Cloud activated fonts, though, does it? Because I have 875 Adobe fonts activated and 295 system fonts installed and I don't have the problem. Since others have reported the same issue for years, I don't know if this happens due to system installed fonts or Adobe fonts or something else. Do you have another Adobe app, such as Illustrator or InDesign, to see if the same thing happens?

You might try closing Photoshop, then go to “manage fonts” here: https://fonts.adobe.com/my_fonts. Try deactivating and reactivating a few sets of fonts in batches, then try Photoshop again to see if it makes any difference. Worth a try as a process of elimination.

When you reset your preferences - you mentioned that you "removed the settings folder" and reset the tools.

Have you tried going to Photoshop/Preferences/General and clicking the reset preferences upon quit button and relaunching PS?

Have you tried logging out of Creative Cloud desktop app and back in?

@Kevin Stohlmeyer  Is there a place that shows the number of fonts installed?

How many active fonts do you have open?

@J E L  Thanks. I just tried rolling back to version 24.0.1, it didn't help. I also used Photoshop on Mac recently with my account, the issue didn't happen there.

@Muhammed5E44 Hmm. It's a strange glitch. If you roll back to version 24.0.1, does it still happen? That may be the solution for you temporarily.

To recap: You've restarted Photoshop and Windows. You've reset Preferences. You've reset the Type Tool. You've deleted the CT Font Cache and Font Feature Cache folders so they rebuild. None of these steps have fixed the filtering.

I note other users using both Windows and macOS have reported the same issue in the posts below. Sometimes, cache rebuilding worked, but other users did not report fixes. I am pinging @CShubert to see if we can get some help for you! Thanks for your patience.
