History log stopped working after 24.5 under Mac OS Ventura

After updating to 24.5 (and also in 24.6) the history log completely stopped working for me. PS will not write any entries to it.

I have recreated the log, cleared the preferences, re-installed PS and updated my OS to no avail.

I am stuck on 24.4.1 until this issue is fixed since I rely on the log for all my billing.

Is there any chance that the folder selected in Save Log Items To is blocked from writing in macOS for any reason, such as Get Info / Lock, Get Info / file/folder permissions, or lack of permissions for Adobe Photoshop in System Settings / Full Disk Access? There is a chance that especially that last setting can become reset during an update to macOS or Photoshop.

Hi. No, it seems totally fine. No permissions issues there.

Hi @jellysquare, that is strange. You've tried a lot of troubleshooting already. I'm wondering how you have your History settings configured and if it makes any difference. Do you write your History log to a text file for your billing, and that is what is now blank (or there is no text file generated)? When you ran 24.5 and 24.6, did you even see the “Open” entry when first opening an image file?

Hi. Thanks for your suggestions. I have the History log write to a text file in my (user) Documents folder (that I then go over later to enter the hours for each image into my manual log for billing).

PS 24.7 still has the issue and I'm still stuck on the old version.

The older PS version writes to the same folder without issues. This is so annyoing. I'm surprised that I seem to be the only one with this issue. I run my computer very clean and well maintained and haven't had any permissions issue on any folder.
