Color Sliders in my new Photoshop 2024 don't work at all - they don't change when i pick a color from the Spectrum or when i change Foreground/Bacground color with X key.
I reset Preferences, reinstaled PS and nothing works. Any ideas?
Photoshop 25.1.0, Windows 10.

There is also an Eye Dropper tool bug that's not picking the right color and shows a slightly different shade of the same color.

when I'm picking up a color with the eyedropper, the color does change, yes. But not in the color panel, so I cannot pick a close color.

This is what happens when I try to use the color picker tool. It won’t change the color instead it stays whatever color I put it to on the color wheel itself. It also dosent change the color if I use color select so it’s not purely a color picker problem. I can make it show the correct color by switching from the color wheel to another option like the default square and back again but I haven't found any other way. How do I fix this so it goes back to normal?

Yup exactly problem for me. And I'm using the Hue Cube.

To clearify, when I alt click to select a new color, it doesn't update on the hue cube.

This happened to me, as well, when I updated to 25.1. I reinstalled 25 and my colour wheel is back to normal.

Hey! I also posted this on Reddit and found a solution. It’s an update with the newest version so to fix it just de-upgrade to the second newest version for now

This is so frustrating, every day I consider switching to a different design program. Someone please message me when it is safe to update to the latest version.

For anyone wondering, the problems mentioned above are still happening in 25.1 as of today. Downgrading to version 25 fixed for me. Adobe, please fix this.

Hi,
I was working on a project today.
I use color picker alot to take color samples and apply it on different object, in the new release it's not working as intended, and shows a different shade of same color while surpisingly the hash code was the same. This seem very strange. I see two different color shades of the technically same color in photoshop.
I check all the relevant settings, my color profiles, disabled proof colors. But still this seems to be a bug and should be fixed in the next release.

@Fasih K. your issue could be related to a known bug in Photoshop version 25.1

I believe this is probably a bug.
I am a long time PS user and this is a new behavior from the color sliders and color picker. In the color tab group, if I have the color wheel or the hue cube open, it used to be that changing the color in use (for example selecting a color with the color picker) would automatically move to select that color on the wheel or in the hue cube. However, this no longer is happening for me.
It is frustrating because I can no longer achieve fine control over the color I'm painting with by selecting a color and then lightening/darkening it with the sliders or etc. The HSB sliders are also not affecting the color wheel, etc.
You can see in the attached picture how the S and B sliders are at zero but the color wheel has not updated.

Hello! I updated photoshop tonight to version 25.1, and when I went to eyedropper colors from my image, I noticed that the Color window wasn't updating to reflect those colors. (The foreground color was updating, however.)
Windows 11.

glad I pay adobe a subscription for new bugs instead of them just letting me pay for a one time software.

Dear Adobe Photoshop Team, I believe I have identified a bug in the current stable version of Photoshop (25.1.00):
I have an image with various colors, and I want to use the brush tool. I choose a color using the color picker. However, when I press the [ALT] key to pick a color from the image, the color picker still shows the old color. The color picker does not update to the color I selected from the image using [ALT].
