Hi All! We're observing the comments & tags.
Could a few of you please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System Info > Copy and paste it into a text document > upload and attach it here.
Greetings.I have also been getting the same error message after the recent RAW update. "Cant complete your request due to programme error" Drivers up to date and have cleared the cache but still happens. All was ok before the recent update . Also unable to use the camera raw filter on a jpeg .
The thread is a bit messy because of all the merging of separate threads, but it's always better to keep them all in one place. I'm not a moderator so I can't move this, but I'll post a notice there.
Note to moderators - I'm not quite sure how to handle all these new threads coming up. Since I'm not a moderator, I can't merge them directly; instead I have to do a lot of cross-referencing and linking back and forth. That quickly becomes a mess to navigate. If anyone feels the need to clean up this "master thread", feel free to delete my posts.
I have been using Photoshop CC for years! Today, I went to go edit some RAW files, but Camera RAW wont' load and it keeps throwing error messages. I uninstalled Photoshop CC and reinstalled it. Camera RAW worked once, but once I exited out of Photoshop, and opened up Photoshop again, I'm getting the same errors. When I go into Edit >> Preferences >> Camera RAW, it also throws an error, so I can't even clear out the settings and reset Camera RAW either.
How do I fix this?
I'm on a Windows 10 desktop, and all the applications are updated, Camera RAW was last updated today.
Happened to me too. Can't even reset Camera RAW. Did a reinstall, Camera RAW worked once, and then started throwing the same errors again. After I posted here and tried to chat with support, it started working again...
Happened to me too. I think it has to do with that window popping up offering some sort of discounted subscription. I didn't screenshot it and I forgot exactly what it is, but I think that is causing the issue.

I already made it disappear by check marking the box saying "Don't show for 7 days" so it doesn't pop up anymore.

That's not what it is. What tends to confuse people is that everything works when you start Photoshop, it's only when it has been running for a while, like a few minutes to an hour, that it suddenly stops working and you get that error message. So a lot of people will launch Photoshop, check that it's working, and say everything's fine. But it may not be.
It's a real bug. Reports are coming in from all over.
@ilikesnowflakes Thanks for the reply.I had the issue of Camera Raw not working before that window popping up.It just is offering Black Friday deals. It can be turned off/delayed if you want. There is an option on the bottom of the window.
