I had the same error and searched for all the solutions, but nothing.

The font test script gave me same error message

- C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\tmp00000001

- C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\tmp00000001

- C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\tmp00000001

And of course, there were no tmpxxx files in any photoshop folder in my computer.

After long searches and trying solutions, I opened the file on another computer running photoshop, identified all the font

What do you do though, if this font is used in 100's or 1000's of projects?
Also... I'm getting this error on many fonts.

Somewhere along the line of doing the following I managed to fix the issue:

Reset Windows font defaults (hit start button and then type 'change font settings'), click Restore default font settings.

That didn't appear to work so I then un-installed Photoshop and re-installed it.

When that didn't seem to work I decided on a restart which then cured it for me.

Good luck!

Hello everyone,

I experienced this bug as well. My solution was:

Navigate in your Windows Explorer to the following folder:

This PC > OS (C:) > User / Nutzer > [your name] > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 > CT Font Cache

Save the contents in a folder of your choice (I recommend in your usual backup folder). Then delete it completely (also in your recycle bin). Shutdown your computer - wait for at least 10 seconds. Reboot. That's it.

Hope, this works for you as well. If not: restart with ressurection of the saved file from the backup and try one of the other ways mentioned above.

Have a nice day and good succes.

Best regards,

Franziska

Windows 10 Creator's update, Photoshop CC 2017.1.1

I deleted the above CT Font Cache folder with no success. In fact it was so annoying that Photoshop completely froze up solid twice (which is a bit unusual nowadays). I eventually had to take a chance and delete the other cache folder named FontFeatureCache since I had nothing to lose, but the prospect of a fresh install.

That was successful.

You are awesome!!! Thanks a lot my friend. 100% WORKING!!!

After that, I tried this, and thanks God I found how to clear photoshop's font cache:

  1. Exit Photoshop and the Creative Cloud desktop app (if installed).
  2. Navigate to the appropriate folder
    • Photoshop CS6 and earlier
      Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe
      Windows 7: \Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe
    • Photoshop CC and CC 2014
      Windows 7 and 8: \Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC or CC 2014
  3. Delete the TypeSupport folder (Photoshop CS6 and earlier) or the CT Font Cache folder (Photoshop CC and CC 2014), and empty the trash.

TADA, it's working now.

Hope it helps
