It's back to CGI this week. The Adobe Substance team have released a range of new materials on Substance Source entitled Parametric Cities. These are editable 3D textures designed to make city buildings. They are very clever and opening them in Substance Designer reveals the node networks used to create them. You can read more here: https://magazine.substance3d.com/parametric-cities-a-2021-collection-of-materials/
I decided to give them a try out and, using Blender and Substance Painter, quickly came up with the city scene below.
So now you have this week's scene, what will you make with it?
The “rules”:
To download the image at 3840 x 2560 pixels, with an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB), hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the Blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun.

Nice atmosphere K and the subdued lighting from the left matches the scene 🙂

I thought it needed brightening up a wee bit. BTW In case you are worried that I have spent hours masking the logos, I just add 'transparent png' to Google image search and Place Embedded.

Nice added touch with the company’s logos on buildings.
We live in a big city area.
Dave’s custom cityscape, river and riverwalk is somewhat similar to ours.
It takes on a whole new dimension at night.
Kudos to Dave for really doing the hard part with the starting image!

Thanks for the reminder Jane, it just needs a bit of the colour reflected in the water 🙂

Global warming or the city's geothermal heating system developing a fault? 🙂
I bet the occupants felt a bit shaky whn the bulge appeared.

Good use of our beach huts from SFTW109 Dean. Is it me or are they floating though ? Hover huts? 🙂

Welcome to SFTW Anna. I do like that image. It has lots of atmosphere and some very nice touches such as the new lamp and the reversed lakeside image on the canvas curl. Very nice 🙂

I do not know where the honourable Tami has got these ideas from, I do not get into these types of issues! I for my part prefer kphotopage's happy couple! P.S. Tami discovered the spider in the underground car park!

Tami has a great imagination Hans. I bet K's couple won't be nearly as romantic when they look behind them. 🙂

By having a closer look at Tami's foto, we are sure you can't deny the certain beauty of this spider. We don't want it to withhold from you:
