We had some great images and interpretations of our last Loch Ness challenge. Thanks to all who took part.
This week, rather than a scene, we have a spanner, or wrench for those on the western side of the atlantic ocean.
How creative you can get with this spanner?
The “rules”:
To download the image below, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right.
Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!

Trevor, that so reminds me of my dad.
Growing up our garage resembled an annex to Home Depot. It was his man cave.
Always a project.
In very gentle tones, he always said, “Don’t tell how to build it, just tell me what you want”.

Jacob,
Loved your reply. Spot on. 😂😂
Actually, it just so happened on this Saturday, I sent my husband up to our local Ace Hardware to match a hex nut to an existing bolt for a home repair.
The final image concept was from 2 images.
No AI used.

K,
The other kind of nutcracker is really different to this one, like a canary to a budgie.
I hope the nut your husband brought home to the nest fits the bill just as well as the one in the happy family picture.

Excellent lateral thinking Jane. I love the way everyone interprets these challenges differently 🙂

The worshipful society of mechanics now have an emblem Trevor. It will go with the secret sign of a chin scratch and sharp intake of breath, shared by members when they look at something that needs fixing! 🙂

Do @davescm and @Trevor.Dennis think the best way to keep secrets is to post them in a public forum? 😂

Yes but we didn't mention that all members attending a meeting are required to go to the stores and ask for a long weight, as proof of membership.
Ooops, that is out now !

Haha! Good one, Dave!
I guess every industry has its own Fools Errand, and I can't help but think of our good friend Norman with his box of halftone dots right now...

Left handed screwdrivers, sky hooks, tartan paint etc. My favourite was turning a bandsaw blade inside out and telling the person who'd fetched it from the stores it was a left hand blade. My other favourite was adding to MS Word Auto Correct on the boss's computer so when he typed his name it changed to something rude and insulting.
We all miss Norman. Someone thanked him in an old thread recently, and I had to smile. It's the same with JJ. They live on in responses to old forum posts.

I think we are starting to get a grip on how Ai Generated images look now. There's often this 'Not quite right' look to them. That's not to say that your implementation is not clever and funny Dean.

Trevor, I am struggling to grasp the hidden (maybe secret handshake style) meaning of the last sentence.

I think it's just a typo (isn't).

I agree with Bob that it's a simple typo. I haven't seen Trevor use sentences with hidden meanings previously.

Bugger! I left out the worst possible word Jacob, and completely reversed what I meant to say. I really must read through before posting because I really am the typo king nowadays. 😞
