Something for the Weekend - Part 201 - Heading Home

The tiny harbourmaster's boat is heading back in to the harbour at Nairn in the Moray Firth, Scotland.  Is he just finished his shift, is the weather turning bad, or is something else chasing him in? That is up to you to show us.

The “rules”:

• Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry.

• Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum “regulars”.

To download the image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right.

Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).

When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.

The news stories say the older orcas are teaching the younger orcas how to ram the boats, so it makes sense that the youngsters are following the adult Dave 😮

I like how it has blended the colour of the sky onto the more distant water.  

I'd be interested in how we are all doing with our Gen Creds with it getting towards the end of the month.   I'm finding it not as useful as I expected, so I have still got lots of points left.  I've watched all the excellent tricks and tips about the tools on Colin Smith's and Jesus Rameriz channels as well.  😞

I was looking at this again, with its title in mind 'Heading Home', and remembered some footage shot shortly after the Pike River Mine Explosion that trapped and killed 29 miners in New Zealand November 2010.  Lot's of news media were there for months afterwards hoping they'd go in and rescue the minors, and two news cameramen shot the footage below of two fishing boats trying to cross the Greymouth Bar to get home with their catch.

This would be a daily occurence for these boats, but it's not always as rough as this.  Several people have drowned crossing that bar.

Thanks.  Yes, that's how I did it.  I'll do it differently next time.
