Hi,
We had some great entries to our last, 'Cutting Edge' challenge. Thanks to all who took the time to create those images.
This week we are off to the River Wear at Durham, where we find this old fulling mill. Fulling is a step in the process of making woollen cloth. The building dates back to the 17th century although there are records of a watermill at the location even before that. In 1833 it became a museum and part of the university of Durham. It is a timeless and tranquil scene. What can you do to liven it up?
The “rules”:
To download the starter image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!
Dave

I do like this, lots to see and all the wool fits well with the theme. The fisherman after the wooly fish is a great touch.

I moved the mill to the Atchafalaya Swamp in Louisiana. I thought it was a saw mill, and could be used there to mill the last few remaining ancient cypress trees....

I know! The remaining stands of old growth cypress are protected on ~1 million acres of state land, but not everywhere. However, due to how the waters are managed in that area the magnificent groves that once existed on this vast swamp will never regenerate. Another example of permanent destruction caused by man's dominion over the earth...

A great place for the mill, Jill. Nicely done!
