Dear Adobe Photoshop Development Team,

I am writing to propose the addition of an Image-to-Image (IMG2IMG) function to the Adobe Photoshop AI suite. This feature would allow users to upload existing artworks and utilize the AI to generate creative variations based on the original pieces. Such a capability would significantly enhance creative exploration by providing artists with new perspectives on their work.

While I recognize potential concerns regarding the misuse of this function to replicate the works of other artists, it is important to consider that such risks are inherent to any powerful tool. Adobe’s commitment to ethical guidelines and the implementation of safeguards could effectively mitigate these risks. Moreover, unrestricted AI models already available on the market offer similar capabilities without such ethical constraints.

As an avid user of various AI tools, including AUTOMATIC1111 for projects with a distinct horror and gore aesthetic, I believe that incorporating an IMG2IMG feature could position Adobe as a leader in offering versatile, yet responsibly governed AI tools in the creative industry.

I have been consistently impressed with the quality of generative AI models provided by Adobe thus far, and I am enthusiastic about the potential enhancements that an IMG2IMG function could bring to your platform.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. I am looking forward to any possibilities of seeing this feature integrated into future versions of Adobe Photoshop.

Sincerely,

Martin,  The Netherlands.

Are you saying you want Photoshop to recreate the function of IMG2IMG from Stable Diffusion? I'm not sure that would be legal.

If not, you can get it directly from Stable Diffusion:

This sounds very legally murky to me. In fact, this whole AI thing seems more and more dubious every day, in every way.

Awesome idea to have this in Photoshop, this has tons of usecases but interfaces like automatic1111 or comfyUI are very experimental / prototypic / scientific.

I use it to convert quick sketches to final-looking results or change the mood / style of images. It's also great for inpainting if you don't want to fully overpaint your detail but just change it a bit.

I imagine generative fill would get a slider that defines how heavily it impacts the selection (amount of noise spread), as it is now it's always 100%.
