hello.

It takes a lot of time to import and render video files in PhotoShop (e.g. it takes 5 hours to render a 4K video 15min file in MacStudio Ultra).

I would like to render using Media encoder, but PhotoShop does not allow rendering of videos using Media encorder.

So, my request for improvement is that Media encoder be improved so that it can be used when rendering video in PhotoShop.

Currently, the CPU & GPU are not effectively utilized when rendering video in PhotoShop (as observed by the CPU Performance Monitor).

The reason for this request is that I would like to use the Dehaze function in CameraRAW, which can be read from PhotoShop, for video.

Or, I would like to be able to use Camera RAW from Premiere Pro, or add the ability to use Defaze effects directly from Premiere Pro.

Hello,Lumigraphics.

Thank you for your comment.
My explanation was not sufficient.
As you indicate, the Media encoder is still selected in the export dialog.
Unfortunately, however, Media encoder is not running and Photoshop is exporting the video by itself.
In the other case, Premiere Pro can pass the rendering data to media encoder, and when exporting, media encoder is launched, added to the render queue, and rendered by media encoder.
However, when I export the video in Photoshop, the display shows media encoder, but media encoder is not actually started and is not added to the media encoder queue.
By the way, my license is Creative Cloud complete plan.
Do I need a special license to transfer data from PhotoShop to the media encoder render queue?

Are you running Photoshop or Media Encoder in Rosetta mode?

@kajijun to be honest - you're using the wrong tool to render a 4K video. Can Photoshop edit and render a 4K video? Yes. Is it the best/most efficient tool? No. That's what Premiere is for.

You can also hammer a nail with a screwdriver but that doesn't mean it's the right tool...

PhotoShop and Media Encoder were running in M2 native mode (Activity monitor shows kind = Apple).

Hello kevin stohlmeyer
Of course I use PremierePro as my main application for video editing.
Unfortunately, PremierePro does not have the Dehaze function, so I have no choice but to use PhotoShop at the end of my workflow.
