Question

Adobe Elements Auto Creations uses 20 GB Ram and causes computer crash

I deactivated the topic in the organizer, but it keeps starting automatically. After some hours, it uses upto 16 GB Ram which causes several programs to crash.

How can I deactivate this service?

Of course, you can also turn it off in Windows Settings>Apps>Startup:

Hello, Greg,

thank you very much! Of course I killed it, and then MS Teams and other applications were ok again. Well, I have 32 Gig RAM, but ...

And I didn't look at the Win10-Startup 😕😕

Thank you again,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Could you please confirm the version of Elements that you are using and facing this issue with?

I believe that the Elements Auto Creations 20xx process doesn't just work with Auto Creations.  It is also used for other media analysis calculations.  So, I think you would have to turn off all media analysis to lower its activity.

If that doesn't work, you can safely end the process in Task Manager if you start having memory problems.  It will probably start up again, but the memory will have been released.
