Cursor change

My cursor is just a cross suddenly, the clone is a cross so cannot see what to clone, same with all tools anyone know why please?

What operating system and version of photoshop elements are you using?

Do you have the Caps Lock on?

Also, look in the photoshop elements preferences>Display & Cursors and see if Precise is checked under Painting Cursors.

Edit>Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor>Preferences (Mac)

Check the Caps Lock on your keyboard - if it's on, turn it off. Also, you may have the clone brush size set too small for the zoom level of your image - see attached.
