Question

Cutout frame outside view

Hallo, I'm using Phoptoshop elements 18.

Sometimes using cutout, the Grids drawing points are outside of the

view. I can't get the drawpoints, because there are no scollbars.

So I've to  resize the view.

How to change this behavior

(the grid adapts the picture) ?

Thanks

Bert

You can use a mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out.  This has to be enabled in Edit>Preferences>General (Ctrl+K).  This control is off by default, and it is the first setting I change when installing a new version of the program.

I use that feature 100% of the time now... used to be it was ctrl +++++++++ or ctrl----------

I'm not fully understanding what the problem is.  If you are talking about the crop tool or the shape tool, do you have a fixed size for the crop/shape that is outside the boundaries of the crop/shape?  The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+0 will expand the view to show the whole working area (fit on screen).

Thanks!

But I have the situation demonstarted in the picture below.

I wont to avoid the steps Ctrl+0,resizing the grid, rezising the image.

My question is:

Can this behavior of PSE switched off or is in an bug/feature 🙂

I'll observe and thank you for the time being.

You have the crop tool selected- that's how it works when used to resize the canvas.  The crop tool can make a canvas larger, but not images larger- it can only make images smaller.

I use the crop tool 99% of the time to make canvases bigger.

Use CTRL + to zoom in, CTRL- to zoom out.

Thanks,I do so.

I want to avoid

this, because I must leave the mouse for this action!

A frame for cutting(!) greater than the image seems very stupid to me

Thanks

Bert
