Elements+ and PSE 2021 Noise Reduction

Hello Everyone:

I've used Photoshop Elements - PSE Versions 8, 15, and now 2021 - since I switched from film to digital photography about 15 years ago. I upgraded to PSE 2021 when I purchased my Nikon D500 that requires Camera Raw 9.5 or greater. After using PSE 2021 for five months I have two questions.

First: Elements+:

I have read about Elements+ on-line and in one photography book but haven't found any photos so far post-processed with Elements+. According to Elements+ site, Elements+ is an add-on that lets out the hidden functions of Photoshop Elements. These opened functions will appear immediately in PSE after Elements+ is installed. Elements+ appears to be a less-expensive was of risng above PSE's basic levels to a level closer, but not matching, what Photoshop CS/CC provides.

Is Elements+ worth getting? Has anyone here used it? What was the experience and the results? How was Elements+ developed?

Second: PSE 2021 ARC Noise Reduction:

I use a two-step sharpening process for my photos. Beginning with the RAW file, I use the Raw Converter Sharpening and Noise Reduction at 50, respectively, and then final sharpening of the .PSD file at a setting of 120. The noise reduction in PSE 2021's raw converter appears to be aggressive, softening fine detail in the photo that I've had difficulty recovering. I've thought of modifying my workflow to basic Raw Converter settings of the RAW file of 25, respectively, for Sharpening and Noise Reduction, and then using the Noise Reduction filter and Sharpening Settings for the .PSD file. Comments on this question and possible recommendations would be appreciated.

I get it, as PSE changes it's up to me to alter my workflow given these changes. But it may also be time for me to upgrade my software to the next level of Photoshop, a different software, or the applicable plug-ins. To be honest, I remain resistamt to Adobe's subscription services.

Comments welcome.

No mystery: Elements+ provides exactly what is described in its site:

https://elementsplus.net/

That is a very rich set of scripts to restore functions normally only available in the full Photoshop as well as many help files and video tutorials. The commands for the scripts are available from the menu File >> automation tools, they are not included directly in the Elements user interface like in Photoshop.

The author of the scripts, Andrei Doubrovski is very helpful. He is also present in the

https://photoshopelementsandmore.com/

user managed forum where many users are using its scripts regularly like myself.

The free test demo is only to be sure about software and hardware compatibility but the price is so affordable that you don't take any risk in testing all the recovered features from Photoshop. That will take you busy for some time...

To MichelBParis:

Thank you for the answer. The only question now is add Elements+ or proceed to full-blown Photoshop. I suppose that the last hurdle post-processing wise with PSE is mastering layers.
