Question

How Can I import my XMP files into Elements ACR

Hello

I searched the forum but couldn’t find any pointers on this subject. I am a new user of Mac Photoshop Elements 2022 and it’s going well.

However, I have a handful of LR XMP files that were once in heavy rotation that I would like to use again.

When I open an image in ACR and Browse the Profiles, there is the option (clicking on three dots/dropdown) to Import Profiles and Presets. But when I go to my folder of XMP’s, the folder opens, but the XMP’s are grayed out.

Are these XMP files the incorrect type or is importing not really an option? (Am curious to why it’s offered if so.) Can they be modified to work? Any direction on this is appreciated. I’d like to use my past creations, if possible. Thanks!

Those instructions are for Photoshop, not Photoshop Elements.

Did you really try to make them work with Elements?

By the way, the demo screenshots should be updated to the current 13.3 ACR version of Elements 2022.
