Question

How to add new backgrounds to library

I have Photoshop Elements 12.  I would like to delete the backgrounds already in the preset library and put my own background papers into the library. Is there a step by step way to create a new library of backgrounds?  I would like to do the same thing with images since I create sketches for my website and want to use our company backgrounds (papers) and stamp set images.  Any Idea?

Hi Carole,

Did you find you correct way to manage the library the way you need, so far ?

Michel gave us a detailled explaination, but the issue if to be able to inject own graphics in the dedicated PSE library,  to have them available in the menu.

So that the question is still pending...

Can someone help ?

Thanks.

A background is just like any other image, except its purpose is to be used as a background layer. So you can use any background from those offered by Adobe or third party suppliers as well as your own creations.

You manage those backgrounds just like any of your other images. You can store them in a given folder or in album categories for easier retrieval.
