Instead of printing a photo, photoshop 2020 wants to fax

After installing a new printer, which works perfectly fine with other applications, my Photoshop 2020, when I hit "print" to print a photo, it wants to fax that photo. Any suggestions?

Old bug when the names of the two drivers (normal and fax are too long. PSE truncates the driver name and selects the first one in alphabetical order. Solution:  rename the drivers names so that they are shorter. I thought the bug had been fixed recently; I don't know the maximum length for drivers names.

You probably just need to close ,and restart the program (PSE).   Really no other reason why it wouldn't show up.      TYPICALLY when you print from pse you choose a printer- even "print to pdf" if you want.

The next time yo ugo to print it (pse) defaults to whatever was chosem last- which is probably why your new printer didn't show up-- I really think all you need to do is to restart the editor----- printing is system dependent- really doesn't have anything to do with the program.

Are you choosing the right printer in the Select Printer dropdown?

If that isn't the problem, try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

If that doesn't work, reinstall the new printer driver.

Final option:  Uninstall and reinstall Elements.
