Problem Installing Photoshop 'Error 146' (i changed the installation path and now its not working)

Hello Folks,

My macOS version is Sonoma 14.5.

I used to have Photoshop installed on an external SSD. Sadly, that didn't work out for me. I deleted Photoshop from that SSD and now I want to reinstall it back on my MacBook. Now I'm getting the Error '146'. 😕😕

I already changed the installation path back to 'Apps' on my MacBook, but it still seems to be trying to find my SSD, which is called 'PRGMME'. (That was already before I tried it the first time and had the Error)

Even creating a new folder and changing the installation path to there didn't work. In the CC overview, though, it's changed.
Every time after changing the installtion path, I of course restarted my mac.

Anyone got a tip for me? What am I going wrong?

Help would be much appreciated!

DO NOT reset permissions unless you know exectly what you are doing, you could corrupt your operating system so it has to be reinstalled.

You should probably use the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool to completely remove everything, and then start over from scratch.

I am having the same issue! I uhninstalled the apps, due to continued password requests, and have tried both from disk and from download reinstallations, ands keep getting the below error. I have manually reset all permissions on my iMac for administrator when possible, all the way down the tree, no change. Install always gets stuck at 88% for downloads. Help!
