Using PSE 2021 downloaded on my new iMac. When opening Elements Editor, prompted re: "Elements 2024" update. However, see atttached- it's PSE 2021.3. Updates to 88%, then "Error Code 146" . Entire text is:
"Exit Code: 146
-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

FATAL: Error (Code = 146) executing in command 'MoveFileCommand' for package: 'CoreSync-mul', version:4.3.45.2
FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: CoreSync-mul Version: 4.3.45.2). Error code: '146'
WARN: Unable to move file at "/System/Volumes/Data/.adobeTemp/C61731E9-66DB-4E6F-A1CB-FEF977026C0A/1/CoreSync/Core Sync.app/Contents/Frameworks/AdobeCrashReporter.framework/Versions/A/Adobe Crash Reporter.app/Contents/Resources/de.lproj/MainMenu.nib" to "/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Sync/CoreSync/Core Sync.app/Contents/Frameworks/AdobeCrashReporter.framework/Versions/A/Adobe Crash Reporter.app/Contents/Resources/de.lproj/MainMenu.nib" . Try setting correct permissions to the specified file/folder or parent folder, so that admin has rights to modify it."
Now, have used "Show Hidden Files", and there IS NO "Data" in my system at "/System/Volumes/". And there is no "MainMenu.nib" that I can find anywhere on system.
Ideas? Help? Thanks again!
Partially resolved. I uninstalled Premiere Elements, then Photoshop Elements, then Creative Cloud, in each case electing to maintain settrings/notifications when prompted. I have now re-downloaded Premiere Elements and PSE. The organizer and editor apps work fine. The Video editor appears fine, but on attempted quit freezes on "Clearing Media Cache files", requiring a Force Quit. Baby steps. FYI, I had not loaded any media files when testing app open/quit. Installed to default locations.

@SpockNard you'd be better off reporting the issue on the Photoshop Elements forum

I manually searched for and found media files cache folders on my system and cleared them all. This allowed normal function again.
