Is there no way to run Adobe Photoshop Elements without an initial screen? Right away the photo editor.

@pigatto157F, if you are using Elements 2021 or 2022, try contacting Elements support. You can start a chat session by clicking on the blue Contact Us button under the Help & Support menu at Adobe.com. Or you can contact Support by telephone using the numbers listed here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html.  Unfortunately, in Europe, Support is only open during normal business hours.

@pigatto157F, I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the program.

@pigatto157F you can get to the Home Screen through the button in the Editor:

If you are still getting a white screen when opening the Home Screen, something must be corrupted.  If it opens OK from the Editor, then you can copy the Adobe Photoshop Elements shortcut icon from the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements [Your Version Number]\  folder to the Desktop.

If you are on Windows, there are two methods.

  • Create a desktop shortcut to the PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe file in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements [YOUR VERSION]\ directory.  Right-click on the file and select Send to>Desktop (create shortcut).
  • Pin the program to your taskbar.  With the Editor open, right-click on the icon in the taskbar and select Pin to taskbar.  The icon will always be present for you to click on.
