Question

Smart search fails on almost every query

I tried searching for keywords such as "car", "cat", "hawaii", "ocean", "mountain", "building", "food", etc.  For each of these keywords the smart search only found 1 or 2% of the photos.   For things like beach/ocean I have 2000+ photos but smart search only found 3!   I bought Elements 15 primarily for this search functionality so I'm very disappointed.  Is this a known issue with this feature?  Or is there a trick to make smart search perform better?  FWIW, I waited for Adobe Elements 15 to finish processing all the imported picture by monitoring CPU churn to die down before trying search.

Looks like the search is performing better after leaving it on over night.  I suspect the smart tag process wasn't completely done last night.  Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Thanks for trying out Smart Tags.

Can you please check Task Manager and see if process 'ElementsSmartTag' is still running and consuming memory and CPU? If yes, it would mean that smart tagging is still happening. If not, please share a few pictures with us on which smart tagging is not applying relevant/expected smart tags.

    Thanks
