BUG - Adjusting Clip In and Out Points in Timeline Not Working

New Here ,
Sep 30, 2025 Sep 30, 2025
  • Issue – Can't adjust clips (in point / out point) in timeline using any of the edit tools.
  • Steps to reproduce  Add clip to timeline. Using tool, click and drag on in/out of any clip on any layer and it will not move.
  • Expected result  I expect to adjust the in or out point of the clip when clicking and draging on the edit with the tool
  • Actual result  No adjustment made. Clip is highlighted... there is a GUI highlight on click. On drag there is either no movement.

@Jbacker_BCD,

Also build 84, but Win 11.

A simple drag with the Selection tool (arrow) adjusts in and out point of a clip. Anyone else on Mac tested this?

Stan

I have this issue. The workaround that works for me is to switch off Mercury Transmit. The problem goes away.

@paulejonesy  Thanks, this works. Disables video output but at least I can get some work done. Much appreciated!

On initial testing this looks like it's been fixed in 25.6.0 build 88.

This also fixes the shift-select timeline bug.

The issue still exists in build 88 for me.

Sorry, yes. You are correct in that when Merecury Transmit-ing to a GPU connected monitor (Adobe Monitor 1 etc), the issue is still there. Using an external video 'card' (in my case, from Blackmagic) the issue is fixed.
