On versions 25.4, 25.3, 25.2 (and their fixes) occurs GPU error:
Selector 9
error code: -1609629695

If YOU have experienced simmilar error - drop down any comment so that Adobe would see this error.

It happens on random timestamps (sometimes even outside in/out points), at random moments. Only going back to the 25.1 version fixes the problem. New Premiere Pro versions are just UNUSABLE cause you can't render anything.

Tried:
-clearing cache
-reseting preferances
-restarting PC

-reinstalling Adobe Creative Cloud with Adobe Apps

-new GPU drivers (reinstall)

Technical:

Windows 11 (newest), GPU Nvidia drivers (newest - 580.97)

i9 13980HX, 64Gb RAM, 4090 Laptop GPU

I would love to use new 25.4 timeline performance cause it works great, BUT I can't render with it anything ://

This problem goes from version 25.2 and heared that a lot of people have simmilar issues.
Don't know if it's Adobe's problem or Nvidia's problem or both - it just would be nice for things to work as they should

In the end of the day - we, editors need to make videos for Adobe to get our money. When we spend countless hours figuring out why something doesn't work - we don't get paid.

@Witold3607716889yl replied to my other post, but I was getting the same error code listed here when trying to use Adaptive High.

  • Issue – While exporting a video on versions 25.2, 25.3, 25.4 in random timestamps we get a error code -1609629695
  • Steps to reproduce – Just export a video
  • Expected result – Video exported without any problems and bugs
  • Actual result – Error code selector 9, error code: -1609629695
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version – 25.2, 25.3, 25.4 and all their fixes
  • Operating system – Widnows 11
  • GPU driver version (Windows only) – Windows 11, Nvidia studio driver 580.97
  • Video format – Happens on final export. Affects h264 and h265 (tried only these two, more formats and codecs might have the same problem)
  • Comparative information helps us understand more about when the issue occurs:
  • Does it affect all projects or only some projects?  every project - something is wrong with the GPU rendering engine from version 25.2 and above
  • Does it affect new projects? Yes, even projects that have been made in previous versions (25.0, 25.1 etc)
  • When did the problem begin? WIth the version 25.2

  • Tried:
    -clearing cache
    -reseting preferances
    -restarting PC
  • -reinstalling Adobe Creative Cloud with Adobe Apps
  • -new GPU drivers (reinstall)

    nothing worked

I'm talking about exporting a sequence.

Hi @Witold3607716889yl

Welcome to the Premiere Pro Forum community.  Thank you for taking the time to report a problem. The team needs a little more information to begin troubleshooting. The link here, How to Report a Problem, has steps to provide more information about your bug that can help us identify the issue. I wanted to clarify if by render you are referring to sequence and clip rendering, or if you are trying to export the sequence and then get this error?

Here to help.
