Adobe After Effects 2024 must be installed to import this file error message

I have recently downloaded both Premiere Pro and After Effects. I am trying to get a composition I have made on AE onto PP. No matter how I try to get it there, I am met with these error messages:

I have tried uninstalling AE, restarting the computer, moving the location of the composition and running the applications as an administrator. Please help, I can't seem to find anything online.

Extra information

I am on windows 10.

I have the latest version of both applications

Hi @James3880827591ff, Hello @goranh40555068,

Can you check the issue for 24.6? This build had many bug fixes. I'm not sure if anything changed in the way the two pieces of software interoperate, but it's worth a shot. I hope the test is a success. Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

I have the same problem. Here the data.

AE Version 24.5.0 (Build 52) - fresh uninstalled and installed again, trying to solve the problem, didnt help
PP Version 24.5.0 (Build 57)
In PP, right MB click on the video clip in the timeline -> Replace with After Effects Composition
AE starts automatically, save the composition as name.aep
Close the PP
In AE edit a composition a bit, save it, close the AE.
Open the PP again and selet the project from above.
The Link Media dialog appears, informing about the missing media name.aep
Select Loacte, locate the file name.aep on the disk, press OK
In PP, the window "File Import Failure" pops up telling "The message "Premiere Pro Adobe After Effects 2024 must be installed to import this file appears".
It is still possible to open the file name.aep with AE and further work with it, however it is not possible to link it within the PP.

Hi James3880827591ff,

We're sorry to hear about this. Could you please confirm the exact version number of Premiere Pro & After Effects installed on your system? Is this happening while importing that specific Ae project? Also, are you able to use any other Dynamic link feature like Replace with After Effects Composition (under File > Adobe Dynamic Link)?

Thanks,

Sumeet
