Community Beginner ,

Adobe Premier pro
For some reason Gaussing Blur is messed up, When i apply Gaussian Blur it has a preset vaule of 25.0 under bluriness,  Also if i apply Gaussian blur to an adjustment layer it won't do key frames only to the Actual video clip.
Any one know what is going on here??

Hi Donald38777133w1pu,

Please let us know the version of Premiere Pro & the OS you are using. Also, is this happening with any specific project/sequence or all of them?

Thanks,

Sumeet

I've never applied Gaussian blur via an AL ... it's as easily applied directly to the clip for most purposes. But you may have a very good need.

What are you doing with it?

i use to to censor things in video. like Blur Some ones face things like that, Using an Adjustment layers is how i always done it..
But that's not the point, there is something messed up, not only not doikng key frames, when i apply the Gaussian Blur it automatically sets the bluriness to 25.0 instead of 0, which is what it should do it should be at 0 not 25.0 wtf us up with that?

Hi, I’m experiencing the exact same issue here.

Gaussian Blur always defaults to a bluriness value of 25.0. I can add keyframes, but they are already pre-defined with this 25.0 value, which makes the behavior confusing. This happens both on clips and when using an adjustment layer.

I’m working on a MacBook with Apple M3, 16 GB of memory, running macOS Sonoma 14.5.

My Adobe Premiere Pro version is 25.6.3 (Build 2).

If anyone has found a solution or workaround, I’d really appreciate it.

Does not matter if Gaussian blur defaults to 0 or 25 you still need to adjust the parameters.

Works fine on a AL here on windows. (try resetting prefs)

Might want to use FI blur (which btw default to 10), as the native is going legacy In the next release (now still beta)
