Export Bug?

New Here ,
Oct 03, 2025 Oct 03, 2025

When exporting my finished sequence, it wants to export the whole sequence rather than what is selected in the in and out frames.

  1. In the Editing tab place the in and out in desired spot.
  2. Export the media.
  3. Look to see if the in and out bars are showing in the preview tab.
  4. Check if the sequence length is correct before exporting.

When switching from the editing tab to the exporting tab it should have carried over the in and out frames.

When switching from the editing tab to the exporting tab it did not carry over the in and out frames.

I don’t have any third-party plug-ins or panels in use or installed.

I am using a MacBook M4 Pro and Premiere Pro v25.5.

On the Export page, there is a drop-down with options to export whole sequence, work-area bar, or in-out range. Which is selected for the export? That will control the export area.

Here's a visual to go with Ann and R. Neil's replies.
