P: Can't open custom LUT in the Creative section of Lumetri

issue: selecting Browse or Custom in the Creative section of the Lumetri panel is broken.

 

how to replicate the issue: open Lumetri panel, navigate to Creative section, next to Look open the drop down menu and click Browse. For me, this doesn't open up the file explorer window to find my LUT file, it simply loads the SL NOIR TRI-X lut for some reason. Manually selecting other LUTs from the drop down menu, and selecting None all work fine. It's only when selecting Browse or Custom that this happens.

 

version: 25.2.1 build 2 (also happened with the version immediately before this one)

 

OS: windows 10 home Build 19045.5608

Hello, having a bug pop up with the latest version of Premiere (25.3.0 build 84) running on an Apple M3 Max chip and Sequioa 15.5 on a 2023 16" MBP

 

Whenever I try to add a LUT to a new adjustment layer, either on the "Basic Correction" or "Creative" tabs within the Lumetri Color tool, there is no option to browse available LUTs, and instead Premiere forces the last LUT in the available options list. I can not get Premiere to let me search for a LUT on my system, through any method. 

 

BUT, when I add an already existing adjustment layer from an old sequence that has a LUT already applied, the software allows me to "browse" and change the LUT like it should. No Bug exists in this scenario.

 

What is causing this LUT selection issue on fresh adjustment layers? Thanks for any fixes.

One clarification: this bug doesn't exist if I try to browse LUTs through the "Effect Controls" panel. The Lumetri Color panel is where the bug exists.

Where are you storing them on your computer? Complete folder tree please.

 

And where did you get or make them?

What version of Premiere Pro are you using? Can you provide any screen shots or screen records of what you are seeing on your end?

Hello, regardless if it is selected or not, it will not alow me to select any of my custom luts or scroll through them

If you look at @Dani_V. pinned response at the top you should just have to follow those steps.

"If you click on the Lumetri Color panel 'hamburger' menu, do you have "Auto-Refresh Input LUT/Look" selected? Are you able to browse if you deselect this?"

Hello, I have been having similar problems for quite some time now in the past two months where I am unable to scroll through my custom luts in the creative tab, and some luts do not load at all unless going and manually selecting them through browse. I also have the issue where it will default sometimes to Phantom Rec 709. Wondering what the solution is.

while applying a custom LUT on my footage, i am not allowed to select custom LUT under basic correction in lumetri color. please help.  

 

whenever i am clicking on custom or browse, it is automatically selecting lut "phantom_rec_708gamma"

Hi @Axnis 

I linked a possible related issue. If this sounds similar to what you are experiencing cant_open_custom_lut let us know. If not then have you tried a new sequence or refresh the user settings?

In the Lumetri Panel in Basic and Creative it wont let me browse LUTs, when I hit browse it just loads a default LUT
