P: The divider between videos is too light, making it hard to see where one ends and the next begins

In the latest version of Premiere Pro, the divider between videos has become light-colored, making it difficult to see where one ends and the next begins. Is there a way to fix this?

Here’s an example: minimize a video track and split it. The cut between the two segments turns light-colored, making it almost invisible. This makes it hard to distinguish the boundaries between the parts.

I know how to fix this — by increasing the track width, but that reduces the available space. Are there any other possible solutions?

NOT FIXED. Clip delineation is still bad! [PPro 25.30 Build 84] The timeline is still inoperative regarding the clip demarkations. I had never had to think about this problem until you started ruining the UX with your new design ethos. The edges of abutted clips need to be readily visible in any appearance theme (Dark/Norm/Light) and with any type media and any label color. The rounded corner, ultra thin, low contrast mess is unworkable. I have a series of stills on a timeline that are wrecking my flow. The thin division line is an eye strainer. YUCH! For now I'm having to use only a few label colors to try and finish this piece (I have a system of many colors for Media management & I cannot use it right now). Plus I now have to manually jigger settings for thumbnails on every timeline to get them to show thumbnails.

Updating Status to Fixed in 25.2

@LucasSantos This is a bug that unfortunately made it into Premiere Pro 25.1. It will be fixed in Premiere Pro 25.2 which is not yet released. It only occurs when the video track height is at the minimum height, so increasing the track height will work around it. Also, you could download Premiere Pro Beta which has the fix, or, you could use Creative Cloud desktop application to revert back to Premiere Pro 25.0.

I'm sorry about this, I know it's frustrating!

I can no longer edit in version 25.1 because I cannot see the cuts on the video track, as shown in the image. Does anyone know how to revert to the previous format, with more distinct and visible cuts?

Edit point on video tracks do not appear at minimum track height

1. Set video track to minium track height

What happened: Rounded corners dissapear. Edit point is very faint white. Colors of clip edges sort of blend together. Edit point is not distinguishable.

What should have happened: Edit point is visible.

Project is an updated project from version 24. Clips are multicam clips and not multicam clips

Boundaries between clips are not visible when timeline tracks are minimized, have to expand the tracks to see the boundary edges between clips.

Hi James30579614e4o6,

Sorry about the poor experience. Could you please share a screenshot showing the issue with the minimized tracks? It will help us diagnose the issue properly.

Thanks,

Sumeet

@Stan37263142ehz7 This is unintentional and will be fixed in the next release. There is a fix already in the beta version. Thank you!

It's quite hard to see the cut when the layer in the timeline is small which i always use, but It's fine when in other size.

New clip form is less friendly, since I have to zoom in to see cut.
