Proxy Media results in worse performance

I'm having this issue where when I create the Proxy it becomes unresponsible, taking a long time to play and terrible scrubbing performance.

Here's the troubleshoot I did:

• Tried ProRes and Cineform proxies

• Media is CFR not VFR

• Importing the Proxy file into my project and into a new timeline the playback is perfect.

System resources appear not to be the bottleneck. Running on Windows 11, R3900x, 64 GB Ram, 4070 ti
