Remove Attributes from Audio File Premiere 24 DOES NOT WORK

Community Beginner ,
Jul 18, 2024 Jul 18, 2024

After applying effects and volume changes to an audio file in Adobe Premiere 24, it is impossible to remove attributes. I now have to abandon all of my work because my audio files are glitched and I cannot remove the effects no matter what I try.

1. Open Adobe Premiere 24 Project

2. Add effects and volume changes to an audio file

3. Right click -> Remove Attributes

4. Leave all selected audio attributes in selected state

5. click "OK

6. Audio attributes DO NOT CHANGE

7. Right click -> Remove Attriubutes

8. Select/deselect any attributes

9. Save

10. Audio attributes DO NOT CHANGE

11. Delete media cache

12. Restart Premiere Pro

13. Repeat steps 1 - 10 - ATTRIBUTES DO NOT CHANGE

14. Restart computer

15. Restart Premiere

16. Repeat steps 1 - 10 - ATTRIBUTES DO NOT CHANGE

Hi slinenberger,

We're sorry to hear about this. I tried using Remove Attributes feature in the latest version, and it seems to be working fine. Could you please confirm the exact version of Premiere Pro & if this is happening with any specific project or all of them?

Thanks,

Sumeet

I know it's your first-ish post, but can you please go the extra yard (meter) and post the other part of the version number... a generic 24 is not helpful.

I just tried it on both linked clips and a .wav, just 'added an effect' which is again, not helpful to repeat your steps, but I added a delay, change that the delay  to .05,  changed the volume level and checked the to default checkboxes, then right-clicked the clip and remove attributes, deselected all the video options on the linked clip and checked everything on the audio side, and OK and everything was reset to default. Did the same with the .wav, and again, it worked as expected.
