Stuttering/Lagging in Premiere and Audition 2023

Hi,

I've had a similar problem with Audition right from the start when I first subscribed -- the playback in the spectral view of any audio file is jittering/lagging/stuttering during playback while the audio itself is played without a hitch -- and nobody could help me with it. Now I have a similar problem with Premiere and I think the reasons might be the same for both problems.

Premiere worked fine the last time I used it (several months ago), where got a message that my graphics card wouldn't be supported with the next update. Now I had to use Premiere again and the playback is now stuttering/lagging, especially the audio. So I thought a new graphics card would solve the problem. I bought a new one, but the problem is still the same. 

Can anyone help me, please?

Hi,

thank you for helping out!

Issue : Whenever I load a random video into the timeline, the playback, especially noticeably the audio, stutters/lags. It doesn't matter what format of video, what resolution, etc., it just happens.
Adobe Premiere Pro version number:23.4
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro
System Info: CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2637 v3 @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz (2 processors)

GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070, driver: 31.0.15.3598

GPU I used to have: Nvidia Quadro K5200, driver: 30.0.14.7239
RAM: 128 gig

Hard drive: Internal SSD
Video format: doesn't matter, the same with everything.

Workflow details: See above

Expected result: I just want to play video normally. It works perfectly on my machine with any other player except Premiere. The only othe application I'm having trouble with is Izotope RX 10, where the audio also stutters during playback (maybe this helps finding the issue)
