Un mot fait disparaitre mon sous-titre

Community Beginner ,
Sep 18, 2023 Sep 18, 2023

Bonjour,

That is very odd.

Mac or PC? What specific version of PR?

There were reports, I think only on Mac, that ligatures would sometimes result in a caption not showing. I could not replicte it on PC. (A ligature is a letter combination that is replaced by a single ligature combination; e.g. f and i are replaced by a character where the bar of the f continues to the top of the i).

But there is no ligature in "distance."

If you edit an existing caption and put "dist" in the middle, does it disappear? And odd that the background also disappears.

Hello,

@Romain_FERRAND6422,

ff is a ligature, so I assume you are on Mac and experiencing the problem I described in my other post in this thread.

Turn off ligatures: right-click on your caption track and deseelct ligatures.

Or pick a font without ligatures.

What version of PR are you  using?

Hi Stan,
Thanks for your quick answer.
You're right, the problem is linked to the ff, so same problem that the one you previously explained.

I'm not an expert on Premiere, but I don't see the right-click option for deselecting ligatures. The only options are add or delete a text zone.

And, how do I know if a font has ligatures or no? I can't find info about it.

I'm using the 25.00 version, on Mac.

Thanks agaoin for your help,

Romain

Right-click the caption track header, then pick track settings.
