Why does my 4k footage playback so choppy and laggy on my RTX 5080 GPU, 128gb ram, Core Ultra 9????

Hey guys, just have a little question to ask. It has not even been 1 week since i have bought this PC. I spend around $10,000 AUD on this pc.
GPU:RTX 5080
CPU: Core Ultra 9 285k
RAM: 128gb 

I spend a lot of money on this PC hoping this will give me the best editing exprience ever, but sadly it is not living up to how i was hoping for. 
See before this i was using a M4 Pro MAX macbook and it was running everything that i threw at it. No matter what it was. Now i know some of you migth ask me wheather if my play resloution is too high? But like come on, the Mac book was running all the videos on 4k even log footage on full quality and had no issues what so ever.  So why cant this windows one do the same when its a desktop and has double the power??? 

Before people go asking me, YES i have updated everything that i could, YES i have done a hardware reset and installed all the drivers and YES i have fixed up all my gpu settings making sure its well optimised. 

I dont know what went wrong here??? 

Is there something that i am missing?? Not too sure at all

@Kenrich_Polduwage don4900 that doesn't have the information we need. There are two ways to get it: 

1. Send us a sample file

2. Use the Mediainfo app (https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo) to get the information about the file format. The sections in Mediainfo we're interested in are the ones I've pointed out in the screen shot below.

@Kenrich_Polduwage don4900 I'm sorry to hear that Premiere Pro is not performing on your computer as you'd expected; that is frustrating, particularly on such a powerful computer!

 

Can you please give us some more information? There's a post here that details what info is useful to us for diagnosis: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/how-do-i-write-a-bug-report/idi-p/13361863. 

 

While I don't want to jump to a solution before we get some more info, one thing this could be is the type of video you're using. Are you using H.264 video that is 10-bit 4:2:2? (You can send us a sample file is you're not sure.) The Blackwell GPU you've got does support hardware acceleration of that format but our support for that is not yet shipping. Support is currently in the beta versions of our products.
