16 fps Teams meeting recording out of sync in 2024
Version 24.6.4 Build 2
Windows 11, version 23H2
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12800HX 2.00 GHz 64.0 GB (63.7 GB usable)
NVIDIA RTX A2000 8GB Laptop GPU
Last week I reluctantly "upgraded" Premiere. I'm always reluctant due to the high number of bugs with the constant updating. I loaded a couple old projects and edited a couple new ones and everything seemed to go well until I loaded a very large project with hours of 16 fps MS Teams recordings. All the Teams videos have lost audio sync--both the projects and the loaded raw files. I'm wondering if it's because they are 16 fps and the rest of my projects are/were 29.97? Is 2024 incompatible with my old project?
Expected result was that my project would load as it did in 2023. Actual result was that the audio was out of sync by many minutes.
What happens if you re-import one of your MS Teams recordings into Premiere Pro. When you then load it into the source monitor, is the audio out of sync, matching the media that previously existed in the project that is out of sync? Or does this new media play correctly?

Thanks for the report. You might try matching the footage's FPS with the FPS in Sequence Settings. Does everything work then? Let us know.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin, I initially created the projects by dropping the footage on the "New item" button, which, I believe matches the project settings to the video settings. I did try changing the FPS in the project to 16 fps and the audio and video played in slowmo. The audio was still minutes out of sync.
